` DOMINIQUE: @anyone With her pale peach dress hanging around her small frame, Emily's sun kissed skin stood out on the unusually warm London day. After traveling to a much warmer climate for work, London's finicky weather was very unwelcoming. The cool breeze kissed her skin as she walked, her blue eyes hidden behind sunglasses. The only thing that she could think about was getting inside somewhere to unwind. Pushing open the door to the cozy cafe, Emily stepped in, exhaling softly with relief. The summer was a nice change compared to the brutal winter that they had faced. She wished for fall to come more than anything. With the talks of the Order starting again, those who remained in the family, were laying the pressure on thick. To do what was right, what was wrong. To be neutral, or to take a step back entirely. This was why she didn't live in that world. London was an escape. Traveling was an escape. Anyone who heard her last name, looked at her with fear or disgust. Dominique was either dangerous to be around or worth staying away from. That's why she liked muggles...they had no idea. Taking her sunglasses off, she smiled as she walked up to the counter- her blue eyes alight. "I'd like a caramel macchiato, please." After paying and waiting a few moments, she walked over to a couch, sitting her drink on the coffee table before sitting down- peeling off her coat. Glancing over, she saw a blonde that she hadn't noticed before and her manners took over. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there. You don't mind, do you? I just sat on a plane for ten hours, I can't imagine sitting on a stool right now." Emily laughed softly, picking her mug back up, taking a drink. She had never met a stranger. Her sister was convinced that it'd get her killed, but she always told her that she was being ridiculous. Dom was Switzerland. Switzerland never got involved in political affairs and she wouldn't, either. That wouldn't stop her from her work, though.

I have finally seen the light , And I have finally realized what you mean Xander wasn't even a coffee person. He came into the overly fragrant shop with the intent of meeting someone somewhere in which he wouldn't be traced back to. He was meeting a 'friend' to help someone he wasn't going to talk about that was currently in a safe house in the south of the country. But needed a more subtle home where they wouldn't look. The girl he met with ended up being an idiot. Xander fought the urge to roll his eyes through his entire cup of black coffee, in which he still wasn't very fond of, but the sugar would have surely made it so much worse. Finally she left and he leaned back into the couch, looking around at the general ambiance, hating it entirely.
Did they really need pictures of coffee beans to make certain that everyone knew that they did, in fact, sell coffee? Alix, ran a hand over his head and shook his head. Now he'd be back to square one. He needed to find some more research for a place for the little second year that he felt personally in charge of until the young girl could find a safe place to stay until the war was over, or at least until she was old enough to go out into the muggle world. Hopefully, with some sort of training to protect herself. Letting out a sigh, he was suddenly aware of someone sitting down beside him. He looked across at the empty chairs and flinched slightly at her closeness. Then she talked to him, which was enough of an excuse for him to head out.
"It's fine. "He murmured. Somewhat irritably, "I was just leaving," not that the girl cared at all, she'd stay there whatever happened. He began gathering up a few papers, and placing them in his back.

` DOMINIQUE: Dominique was a people person. It was typically easy for her to have conversations with people, which was ironic because her job consisted of her speaking to very few. She was used to the dumb blonde jokes. Anyone that saw her, figured that she had zero common sense. That was a mistake, first off. Secondly, how rude. She worked too damn hard in school to be treated like an idiot, typically by men. She wasn't the get-married-and-stay-at-home type. She was the, I-got-an-education-and-I-don't-need-a-man-to-take-care-of-me type. Her veela charm was partially to blame. The occasionally attention could be bothersome at times. When she had landed back in London, she had a few loose ends to time up in town, which was why she had stopped for a coffee in the first place. Typically, the overzealous coffee shop was somewhere she'd just stop in to, but she was exhausted. Traveling could be taxing, especially long trips. When she had sat down, she wasn't necessarily paying any attention. When she looked up, she spotted a younger guy, probably around her age. And of course, out of politeness, she apologized. Some people were weird about space, but most weren't in coffee shops...until she met this guy.
His reply wasn't exactly what she was expected. He seemed pissed off. Dominique hesitated before sitting, watching him carefully. "Yeah. Um, don't worry about it, it's not a big deal. Sorry to interrupt." She nodded to his papers. Gathering her own things, she watched him do the same for a moment. After picking up her keys, she walked over to a couch, slightly offended. Was he snappy? He seemed a bit snappy. Whatever. She didn't feel like dealing with it today. She had invaded his personal space. Biting the inside of her cheek, she opened a book that was charmed so that muggles couldn't read the real title. It was an illusion of sorts. Really, it was larger journal with sketches and notes about creatures she had encountered. She wouldn't call herself an artist, but the sketches were precise. Digging a pencil out of her purse, she began to jot more notes down, only glancing up again when she saw a shadow form over her book.

I have finally seen the light , And I have finally realized what you mean Somehow the girls switching made him even more annoyed by her. What was she doing? Already she made him move and then she decided to not bother? He sighed, not wanting to do this today, now there was a pit to his chest that she had no business giving to her. But either way, he was just irritated by her. There was something about her that was just ridiculous at that moment, just enough that he threw his bag over his shoulder and walked back over to talk to her.
She left, reading some sort of book, that he honestly didn't give a shit about. "The point... of me leaving was for you to have the couch." Xander told her simply. But when he turned to her and actually looked at her she looked more familiar than he let on. Great, now he knew something about her and he din't know what. So he threw an arm to gesture to the couch. "All clear. Enjoy." And with that, he turned on his heel to go. He was ridiculously blunt on some matters, so suppose it wasn't too weird for him to approach her like that. | words: xx notes; <3 |

` DOMINIQUE: Dominique was trying to think about why this guy looked familiar. It made her cheeks burn. She didn't understand how people woke up in bad moods. Yeah, the world wasn't exactly a pleasant place to live in right now, but a nice gesture could go a long way. She wasn't sure why she was bothered so much by him at that point. He was an ass. She needed to let it go, but of course, that was a hard thing for most women to do. Dom was simply trying to not let her temper flare up at this point. When she saw the shadow lingering over the pages of her book, she glanced up, her blue eyes finding his. What now.
Why was he still here? Hadn't she already pissed him off? Dominique looked at him blankly, one eyebrow slightly arched. She was, again, shocked by the harshness of his tone. "You can leave whenever you'd like. I don't know why you feel like you need to be rude to me, but I'm not going to argue with a stranger over a couch. In fact, you can stay here as long as you want. You can mope here by yourself some more." She had snapped. It happened. During the process of her little speech, she had stood up and closed the book- her brows furrowed as she looked at him once more. Her coffee was no longer enjoyable. The atmosphere was full of tension. This wasn't a place that she wanted to be anymore. Dominique had made her way outside into the warm sun, looking through her purse for her keys. That's when she had realized that she had left them inside...with the angry guy.

I have finally seen the light , And I have finally realized what you mean She blew up at him, and honestly, he didn't even realize that she was talking until she stormed past him. Slowly the words she said started to kick in. A small smirk appeared on his face when he looked at the table and saw her keys on the table, slowly he reached down and plucked them from the table, following her out and dangling them in front of her. "Forgot something." He said, raising his eyes to hers. She was pretty, but he never cared about that. Xander was entirely into personality of a person. Good looks often made him feel like he couldn't trust a person, odd as it was. Raising his eyebrows, he took in her face.
Suppose he should apologize for what he did, said, whatever. But Xander didn't care enough. He was grumpy, she was too, it wasn't the situation in which it was entirely his fault. Besides there were two freaking couches and she had to pick the one he was already so comfortable sitting on. Even if he wasn't exactly comfortable in the shop at all. Xander was more comfortable out in the world anyway. He held out the keys to her, dropping them in her hand and nodded before turning and starting to walk down the street. The interaction was enough for him, he had to go back to the office. | words: xx notes; <3 |
