He really hoped that Sage would come and see him but he totally understood the reasons behind the fact she might not show up. They were in love and here he was practically throwing his life away to save the life of his niece. In his mind he still couldn't force himself to think he was making the wrong decision... he knew that his new job was to get Mads home and that was what he was going to do... till he breathed his last breath and he could no longer fight. He looked up when the door flung open and his brother and his parents stormed in and they all looked at him with tears running down their cheeks. "I will get her home. She's not going to die" he said confidently, trying to stop his own voice breaking and letting any tears fall. He didn't want to cry at all if he could really help it. It was then that his brother threw his arms around Beau and hugged him tightly. "You've been my guardian angel Beau. You cared for Jeorg when I couldn't do it myself. I don't think there are enough words that I can say to express how grateful I am. All I know is that I am so lucky to have a brother like you. I wish I was like you" he said before stepping back and walking from the room, unable to stay around any longer. Beau then turned to his parents and hugged them tightly. "I love you. Please don't be sad for me. Only one can survive the games and it is going to be Mads. I can promise you that" he said before taking a deep breath and trying to stop himself from crying. It was then a peace keeper came in and asked his parents to leave , saying that there were only moments before Beau was due on the train and that he had another visitor waiting to see him. He gave his parents one last goodbye and a kiss on the cheek before they left and then waited for his second visitor, hoping that it was Sage. |
